Held exclusively, late June The Vertex Awards-Pop-Up Exhibit took place in a Manhattan New York Loft. Overlooking the city, retailers, designers and agency executives came and went to celebrate the work of this year’s private label design.
The exhibit showcased a curated collection of North American honorees from more than 70 global winners in this year’s Vertex Awards. Handing out trophies, awards and champagne, creators of Vertex Christopher Durham & Phillip Russo helped commemorate Vertex Award’s fifth year of honoring private brand packaging design. This year marks the first time U.S. retailers have won either the Best in Show or Publisher’s Choice awards.
The Creative Pack was honored to receive three separate awards for our private label design with Fresh Thyme Farmers Market:
Echoed amongst all honorees: the importance to create bold and innovative designs. “It’s critical for companies today to be more thoughtful when designing private brand products, especially in an e-commerce environment,” said Carrie Mesing, senior director of Private Brands at Fresh Direct “In order to compete, it’s important to stand out from both national players and small artisan companies. To help customers better understand the value proposition of our private brand products immediately, we make the key attributes of our products clear through thoughtful packaging and labeling efforts.”
